When the engine oil temperature is very severe after continuous laps on the circuit, it is essential to install an oil cooler.

Compared to the regular oil cooler kit standard type, this oil cooler kit comes with an air guide plate to aim for a higher cooling effect considering circuit use.

We conducted repeated circuit tests and developed the product with particular attention to the core position and hose material.

The oil cooler core is installed on the right side of the front bumper opening where it has less influence on the radiator (water temperature), and the hose is made of durable and lightweight nylon mesh hose.

86/BRZ oil cooler circuit test example

We conducted a test at the Twin Ring Motegi East Course. Despite the wet road surface, the temperature exceeded 140 degrees Celsius in three laps, including a break-in session

Result

It has been proven that an oil cooler is an essential item for sports driving.

When an oil cooler is installed, the oil temperature rises more slowly than in the normal condition (no oil cooler) and is stable at 123 to 124 degrees Celsius. If equipped with a baffle plate, it is stable at 115℃. This is the result.

When a wind guide plate is installed, the temperature is -8 to 9 degrees Celsius compared to a case without a wind guide plate, so a higher cooling effect can be achieved by using the air guide plate in combination.
